Recently Student Union Government Officials of the University of Benin have stuck to their guns as they revealed yesterday that they would not yield to the pressure mounted on them to apologise to the University for embarking on a peace demonstration on the 24th of November 2017. This came after a meeting between the Vice Chancellor of Uniben and a factional leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students early in the week ended in a deadlock due to the decision of the rusticated students.
The affected students include the SUG president, Osamudiamen Ogbidi, Justus Aidenagnon, Innoncent Momodu, Godnews Ehiabhi and Patrick Majekodumi.
in the meantime several pressure groups have called upon the Management of the University of Benin to reinstate the students as the decision could lead to the destruction of talents in the country.
