OKOWA PROCEEDS ON 13-DAY LEAVE , OTUARO TO ACT AS GOVERNOR
The Delta State Governor, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa is to proceed on a 13-day leave commencing from October 30,2017- November 11, 2017.
The information was contained in a letter forwarded to the Delta State House of Assembly by the governor and read on the floor of the House by the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori JP, MNIM,
In the letter, the governor stated that the leave was a remainder of the earlier leave he went between June 26 and July 12, 2017.
The letter further read, “In accordance with section 190(1) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999,as amended. His Excellency, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, shall perform the duties of my office as Acting Governor during the period of my absence of leave.
“I will greatly appreciate if the foregoing is placed before the Honourable House for information. Please accept the assurance of my high regard and best wishes for you and the Honourable Members of the House.”
The Deputy Majority leader, Hon Oboro Preyor then moved for the House to approve the letter,, seconded by Hon Eric Oharisi and adopted.
