Governor Of Rivers State Set To Open Football Academy
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has declared his intentions to open a football academy for the state.
The governor who traveld to Spain has met with the officials of Real Madrid football club,which include Ronaldo,Ramos and others.
The governor said, "what we are doing is in the interest of Rivers State, this football academy will be the first of its kind, we will grow stars,empower youths and create wealth for the state.
He added that the reason for the set up of football academy was to empower the next generation through sport and that by next year Rivers State will be hosting the African Wrestling Championship.
