Super Eagles player Kelechi Iheanacho said the  their is need to finish off Zambia in their FIFA World Cup qualifier October 7 in Uyo and book their place in the Russia 2018 tournament.

The player who made his first full appearance with Leicester City as they drew 1-1 with Huddersfield yesterday, said the battle to qualify for the World Cup was not over yet and the Eagles need to beat Zambia to get the job done.

Nigeria top the group with 10 points while Zambia are on seven. A win will seal the group for the Super Eagles who are yet to taste any defeat in the qualifiers. We still have to play Zambia at home next month, so we hope we get the points we need to qualify for the World Cup,” said Iheanacho.

He revealed that it was thrilling playing for the Super Eagles and it was an honour to contribute to their 4-0 win over Cameroon in Uyo. ‘’Playing for my country is one thing I dream of and I’m happy to play for them.’I felt very happy getting a goal against Cameroon after coming on in the second half. It was great for me to get on the scoresheet.

He added that Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi have helped him to settle well at Leicester. “It is lovely being around them now,” he said. “I can speak some pigin and have a little chat. It helps me settle down.
